The Monster is Back

"Writing about a writer's block is better than not writing at all."
--Charles Bukowski, The Last Night of the Earth Poems--

This is not the first time that I have written about my writer's block. I have posted a lot of statuses in Facebook about how stupid I am for not coming up with a topic to write about. And every time I sit in front of the monitor and make an attempt to write about something because of a coming deadline which I myself have set, nothing comes out of my head. I feel futile, useless, and it makes me less of a writer.

But seemingly, this perception will change for good. Starting today, this perception will turn 180 degrees away from me. I have sought for a good quote on writer's block in the internet, and I managed to stumble upon that inspiring quote up there.

See? I have been murmuring about writer's block and how it makes me vain, but upon writing about it, I have already written something. This is quite a paradox, but it amused me. Thanks to Charles Bukowski.

  1. That's a great quote and I agree with Charles Bukowski's views. This paradox is indeed amusing.

  4. Well, I have not tried writing one. Maybe, I should have. Anyway, I'm a very trivial person. I make small things big. wahahahaahah

I hope this will be the last post about writer's block. Or you should take some rest because maybe that's the reason why. :)

  5. Sometimes, our brain losses the interest to supply us with sensible topics to write. I have experienced this one too often, but needless to say, I have somewhat conquered it. You can overcome it too, Rolyn; it's not yet permanent. Fret when it's already Alzheimer's! Lol.

Eat, eat and eat. This will provide your neurons with energy.

Set everything at peace. Remove those noisy people, keep the area worthwhile, sit properly, and if possible, visualize your CRUSH. Lol!

After all, you need not fear this writer's block even if you have deadlines and STRIKES, you're the EIC naman.
